#REPERTOIRE DANCE PROFESSIONAL#
Students are introduced to concepts regarding professional production, including lighting, sound, staging, props, human resources, sustainability, costuming and cultural sensitivity. Repertoire students acquire excellent first-hand knowledge of the styles of ballet’s leading schools and choreographers, as well as repertoire for performance, auditions and post-secondary study. Repertoire students will study corps de ballet formations, and soloist/principal variations from ballets such as Swan Lake, Giselle, The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Don Quixote, The Four Temperaments, Serenade, La Esmeralda, La Bayadère, and more. Repertoire offers intermediate, advanced and adult students the opportunity to learn iconic choreography from the ballet canon. Repertoire offers dancers the opportunity to develop personal artistry and performance quality beyond technique, in a class focused on interpretation and presentation of the classical canon. The dancers, in collaboration with a choreographer, have created 3 evening length works in our repertory.
